Welcome to Belmont Community Centre

The Belmont Community Centre is situated in Eastholme Avenue accessed from the A465, Abergavenny Road. It is opposite Tesco Stores, Belmont about 2 km from the Hereford City centre and 0.5 km outside the city boundary.

Volunteers from the South Wye Community Association: a registered charity no. 700471, run the centre, which was founded in October 1993 with a bequest from May Gorin: a local benefactor.

Belmont Community Centre Library

Since then the Belmont Community Centre has been maintained by revenue generated from room hires, by rent from the Belmont Library: which is leased to Herefordshire Council and from grants. The latter have been received from Belmont Rural Parish Council, Awards for All and Special Metals (Wiggin), amongst others and used together with money from the association’s own reserves to fund many improvements to the original building and its facilities. The centre is in an excellent state of repair and decoration and the paths, lawns and cark park are regularly maintained and kept in good order by a small group of dedicated volunteers.
